Beatnik Cake

2 Cups of Sugar
3 Cups of Flour
3 eggs
1 lb can of beets (drained)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup oil


Drain and mash beets
Mix all ingrediants adding oil last.

Put icing on while still warm.

Bake at 350 for 50 minutes

Icing:

1 box powered sugar
1 stick butter/margarine
4 teaspoons of baking cocoa
6 tablespoons evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
